Thank you to United States Naval Academy Leadership, Faculty, Staff, Midshipmen and Friends Of The Jewish Chapel who participated in today’s solemn remembrance of the horrific, unprovoked, premeditated attack against our strategic ally Israel and the barbarity inflicted upon the Jewish people one year ago today.
Poignant ceremony included lighting of a yahrzeit candle, sounding of the shofar, comments from the Naval Academy’s Israeli Navy Exchange Officer and emotional recollections from those who lost loved ones.
The unequivocal moral clarity and solidarity demonstrated by USNA personnel with their Jewish shipmates on this solemn occasion is an inspirational message America and Americans need to see more of.
May the memory of all those who perished be a blessing. May all hostages, including several Americans, be returned to their families alive and well. May all evacuees return and be allowed to rebuild their lives, homes and communities. May we be protected from those that would do us harm. May we all be blessed with peace.
Amen
